UAD General Meeting

It was an interesting meeting!

I got to lead others in signing the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of the meeting.

We had a dinner after the meeting and there was a cute skit from two people and it was enjoyable to watch. It was a nice day for all of us.

I played on Lady Wolverine basketball team (Utah Team B). Our team lost two games to Utah Team A, but it was an good experience playing against them.

Mingling with new people from Northwestern part of America was the best part! There were a lot of people supporting the MDUAP booth for the Miss Deaf Utah which was set up as a fundraising effort to support Andrea Vigil so she could go to Miss Deaf America Competition in July. I got to see Andrea Vigil signing the Anthem and it was beautiful!

"Healthy and Dating Relationship"

Sego Lily Abused Center for the Deaf provided an amazing workshop, which was about, "Healthy and Dating Relationship."

Sari Williams and Stephanie Mathis told and taught us good information about the general kind of relationship. We learned about, "Domestic Violence," the "wrongs and rights," associated with domestic violence. We also learned about, "the five love language," that we have desire for. The five love you can receive or provide are: Quality Time, Words of Affirmation, Gifts, Acts of Service, and Physical Touch. We took a fun quiz and we got the result of our desire. My desire love are Quality Time and Physical Touch. It is pretty interesting. I loved it when people share their opinion and their experience with the relationship they had with others.

To honor the eventMiss Deaf Utah Ambassadorship program provide the food and served a delicious chocolate Bundt Cakefrom this company, Nothing Bundt Cake . We will be attending to the next workshop in March and hopefully there will be double number of people coming. Everyone is welcome.

Thanks to Sego Lily Abused Center for the Deaf.
